Warner Public
Library is an important information source for residents of Tarrytown
and Sleepy Hollow.
Located on North Broadway in Tarrytown, it contains over 89,000 books,
as well as books-on-tape, videos, CDs, and a growing collection of DVDs.
The library has personal computers and eight terminals with Internet access
available for public use.
Library events include
Literacy Volunteer Tutor Workshops, poetry and memoir workshops,
book groups, and children's activities including magic shows,
puppet shows, story times, arts and crafts and Mother Goose Time
for babies. Year round activities include free Saturday afternoon
concerts, art displays, workshops and lectures.
Through an Annual Book Sale held on the Columbus Day Weekend,
the Friends of the Warner Library provides financial support for
cultural programs offered by the Library.
The Warner Library is a member of the Westchester Library System,
which enables cardholders to borrow books and other materials
from any Westchester County library. It is also possible to access
Warner Library's holdings and other online databases via a home
computer by logging onto www.westchesterlibraries.org. The bar-code
number on the back of your library card is your password.
The Library is open seven days a week October through June and
six days a week in July and August. Hours are:
Monday and Thursday 1-9 PM; Tuesday and Wednesday 10 AM-6 PM;
Friday and Saturday 10 AM-5 PM; and Sunday 1-5 PM During July
and August, the library is open 9 AM-1 PM on Saturday and is closed
on Sunday.
